Map Social: a map that connects people to the social projects near them
Map Social is a product I design and build: a map where anyone can find social projects near where they live, such as sport, martial arts, art, tutoring and training, and reach the contact in a few taps. The window below is the real site, loaded live.

There is no shortage of social projects. There is no path to them.
Almost every neighbourhood has a project running: martial arts, art, tutoring, workshops, training for people who want to start a business. Most of them live on word of mouth and posts lost on social media.
The people who need them most are the last to hear about them. And the people running them rarely have the time or budget to spread the word.
A map first, not a list.
You open it, see what exists near you and filter by what you are looking for. Each project has a short page with what it offers, who it is for, when it happens and how to get in touch.
Sign-up was designed for the people who run the projects: short enough for a volunteer to finish on a phone, without depending on anyone.
The thesis is simple: shorten the distance between those who offer and those who need, and give a small neighbourhood project the same shop window a large institution would have.
Live, and growing with the projects.
Map Social is already published and still in development. The window above is not an image: it is the real site. When a screen or the identity changes there, it changes here too.
The next steps are growing the list of projects and tracking what matters most: how many people reach a project through the map.
